The Hydrogen Technology Observatory organized a webinar on the evolution of technology in hydrogen electrolysis systems, in collaboration with its partners Enagás, Fundación Hidrógeno Aragón and Repsol.

In this technical workshop, Fundación Hidrógeno Aragón shared its vision about the state of the art of the different electrolysis technologies and  moderated a panel of experts focused on the two most relevant technological options: PEM (proton exchange membranes) and alkaline. Accelera by Cummins and Nordex Electrolyzers participated in this conversation about the progress, efficiency and development of electrolysers and the main challenges for the future of these technologies, catalysts for the deployment of green hydrogen.

Repsol explained the start-up of the first electrolyser manufactured in Spain, a 2.5 MW electrolyser located at the Petronor industrial centre (Basque Country). The company also shared the main features of this project: engineering, construction and operation of the technology, as well as other leading electrolysis projects on which they are currently working.
