Enagás is firmly committed to responsible communication. As such, it is dedicated to providing transparent, accurate, verified, accessible and consistent information, thereby building trust and facilitating open dialogue with its stakeholders.

In a digital environment characterised by the proliferation of channels, the immediacy of information and the presence of unverified content, Enagás takes steps to prevent misinformation, a reputational risk that is particularly significant.

The company has a Responsible Communication Policy which outlines the principles that underpin all information disseminated by Enagás.

It also has a specific policy for communicating with shareholders, investors and other stakeholders, setting out its commitments in the areas of financial reporting and sustainability.

This framework is implemented through a management model integrating official channels, validation processes and ongoing monitoring to ensure consistent, strategy-aligned messaging.

Enagás has established the following principles and commitments regarding responsible communication:

  • Legality and regulatory compliance: To comply with applicable regulations, particularly those relating to regulated markets, competition, industrial safety, data protection, intellectual property and human rights.
  • Technical rigor, accuracy, and sufficiency: The information disseminated must be accurate, verifiable and based on checked data and reliable sources in order to facilitate understanding of the situation being communicated by the various stakeholders.
  • Clarity, visibility, and accessibility: Messages should be conveyed in an understandable way, with unnecessary technical jargon avoided, the necessary context provided for proper interpretation, inclusive language used, adapted formats employed and accessibility criteria complied with.
  • Integrity and transparency: To avoid material omissions, ambiguities or misleading messages.
  • Institutional neutrality: Not to take partisan positions and to respect social, political and institutional diversity.
  • Infrastructure security and protection: Not to disclose any information that could compromise the physical or cyber security of facilities, systems or individuals.
  • Respect for and protection of vulnerable groups: To respect the dignity and rights of all people, paying particular attention to children and vulnerable groups, and to ensure that human rights are upheld in communications.
  • Sustainability and environmental responsibility: To promote messages in line with the energy transition, decarbonisation and environmental protection.
  • Corporate consistency: To ensure that messages are consistent with Enagás’ strategy, values and internal policies.
  • Prompt correction of errors: If any communication is found to contain inaccurate, incomplete or erroneous information, to act promptly to correct it in a transparent manner as quickly as possible.
  • Responsible use of Artificial Intelligence: All AI-generated or AI-assisted content will be validated by a designated person before publication to ensure it is free from bias, errors or unverified information.
