A widely recognised model

We have been a member of the United Nations Global Compact since 2003. Our Communication on Progress has been reported since 2011. We have also been listed on the ‘Global Compact 100 index’ since 2013.

Our Annual Report has been externally audited since 2008 and prepared in accordance with the AA1000APS and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, including the Oil & Gas Sector 2021 standard.

It also follows the integrated reporting principles established by the International Integrated Reporting Committee (IIRC) and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) reporting standards for the Oil & Gas - Midstream sector.

We have been a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World (DJSI) in the Gas Utilities sector since 2008.

Enagás has also been included as one of the most sustainable companies in its sector in the 'Top5%' of the S&P Global's Sustainability Yearbook.

We have been a member of MSCI’s Global Sustainability Indices since 2010, with an ‘AA’ rating in 2022.

We have held ISS’s ‘B Prime’ rating since 2010.

We have been a member of the FTSE4Good index since 2006, and hold the highest ASG rating in our sector in 2023.

We hold ISO 9001 certification for our technical systems management, asset management, technical and business management, infrastructure development and information systems management processes. We also hold SSAE 18 certification for Security of Supply of the System and Technical Management of Underground Storage Facilities of the System.

Our Central Laboratory, whose objective is to contribute to the development of new technologies to improve Enagás’ activity and the industry, has three specialised laboratories accredited by the Spanish National Accreditation Body, ENAC.

The Haz Foundation recognises Enagás with the t*** seal, the highest category in Fiscal Responsibility.

We have participated in CDP's Climate Change and Water Security rankings since 2009. In 2023 we have been included in the CDP Climate Change A-List, the highest rating of this index.

Since 2021, we hold the Zero Waste certification in accordance with AENOR’s specific regulations for Enagás, S.A. and Enagás Transporte, S.A.U. companies.

We hold ISO 14001 certification for our gas transmission and storage infrastructure development processes, asset management, the Enagás central laboratory and headquarters.

Our LNG terminals in Huelva and Barcelona as well as the Serrablo and Yela storage facilities hold EMAS verification.

We have held ‘Family-friendly company’ certification since 2007 under the Masfamilia Foundation’s EFR management model. In 2022 we obtained the highest rating – ‘level A+ of Excellence’– in work-life balance. We are the first utilities company in Spain with this recognition.

We are listed in Equileap's global ranking of the 100 leading companies in gender equality.

We have held the Bequal Seal since 2015 for our commitment to the inclusion of people with disabilities. In 2019, we were placed in the ‘Plus’ category.

We have been included in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index since 2019. In 2023 the company has been recognized as leader in the Utilities sector.

We are listed in Equileap's global ranking of the 100 leading companies in gender equality. In 2024, Enagás has become the second highest-ranked Spanish company in this index and 13th globally.

The Health and Safety Management System for the Enagás companies Enagás GTS, S.A.U., Enagás Internacional, S.L.U., Enagás, S.A. and Enagás Transporte, S.A.U. is certified under ISO 45001. 

Enagás has held healthy company certification since 2017 and has obtained ISO 39001 road safety certification and ISO 27001 information security certification.

Since 2009, we have been recognised as one of the Top Employers in Spain.

We have received AENOR’s ‘COVID-19 Action Protocol Certification’, which recognises the efforts made by the company to protect the health and safety of its employees during the pandemic.
