  • With the aim of promoting the social normalisation of people with disabilities, the Valentia Foundation and Enagás spent a day out in the Aragonese Pyrenees

Following the pandemic, Enagás has resumed its participation in its usual volunteering initiative with the Valentia Foundation, a non-profit organisation, a benchmark in the province of Huesca, which offers people with intellectual disabilities and their families all the support they need to lead a full life.

On this occasion, 24 Enagás employees took part in a visit to the facilities at the Ignacio Claver Centre, located in Martillué, a town belonging to the municipality of Jaca, to learn about the day-to-day life of its users.

After the visit to the facilities, the Enagás volunteers, together with users and part of the Valentia Foundation team, went on a group and cultural guided tour of the city’s best-known sites, from the Jaca Citadel to the Museum of Military Miniatures.

This initiative reinforces Enagás’ commitment to functional diversity, contributing to the normalisation and social integration of people with intellectual disabilities, among other vulnerable groups.
