  • The company actively participated in the eleventh edition of this benchmark event in southern Europe, where its open innovation initiatives were showcased

Between 7 - 9 June in Madrid, more than 650 expert speakers in disruptive innovation, 17,000 attendees, 6,500 startups and 2,000 investors gathered at South Summit, the largest event of reference in southern Europe in entrepreneurship and innovation.

The eleventh edition of this event focused on the energy transition and the near future: the year 2030, set by the international community as the deadline for transformative action to make sustainable development a reality. Under the theme “Today 2030”, the technologies and innovations that will make this change possible were explored.

Emilio Martínez Gavira, Director of Entrepreneurship and Open Innovation at Enagás, participated in the panel “Greenhouse to Green Wallet: ClimateTech Investing” together with: Ashish Puri, Partner at Lightrock; Silje Gronning, Senior Investment Associate at Energy Impact Partners; and Rosario Cannata, Executive Manager and Principal at EDP Ventures. Carlos Fisch, Partner at Seaya Ventures, moderated the debate. Martínez Gavira stated that “investment in ClimateTech (technology for decarbonisation) is crucial to secure the energy transition, achieve our decarbonisation goals and ensure a sustainable future for our planet”.

In addition to highlighting the company’s open innovation initiatives, this meeting made it possible to identify and eventually speed up innovative projects that meet the criteria for investment or acceleration.
