  • More than 60 company volunteers took part in this activity, aimed at children admitted to the Santa Bárbara Hospital in Soria.

On 2 February, in collaboration with the Theodora Foundation, Enagás organised a corporate volunteering workshop called “Pijamas de la ilusión” (pyjamas of hope), in which 63 company professionals took part. The main objective of the activity was to contribute to humanising the stay of children admitted to the hospital.

The people who attended the workshop worked on the design of children’s pyjamas to be given to the Santa Bárbara Hospital in Soria. During the activity, Enagás professionals were able to learn about the work carried out by the Theodora Foundation in hospitals and how, through the “smile doctors” actions, they help to improve the stay of children and their families.

The Theodora Foundation has been operating in Spain for 23 years and has visited more than 500,000 children and adolescents in hospital. It is present in 64 hospitals and specialised centres throughout Spain and is made up of a team of 30 “smile doctors”.

Since 2012, Enagás has run a volunteer programme to boost employee motivation and to promote the socio-economic development of the local communities in which the company operates. To this end, the company held its first corporate volunteer week in 2023, in which different volunteer days were organised where the main focus was on caring for the environment and supporting vulnerable groups. The initiative was supported by a large number of company professionals.
