Technical Workshop on Hydrogen Storage

Renewable gases Innovation
16/07/2024 - 10:30. Online

Enagás organised this technical webinar on hydrogen storage facilities, within the framework of the Hydrogen Technology Observatory, with the aim of sharing innovative practices for the development of hydrogen storage facilities.

Storengy, a subsidiary specialising in storage facilities of the Engie Group, shared how it is transforming its storage facilities to incorporate renewable gases such as hydrogen. Storengy currently has 21 facilities in France, Germany and the United Kingdom and has more than 70 years of experience in the sector.

This was followed by a presentation of the PureH2 project, chosen by IDAE for its innovation in storing green hydrogen. The project, coordinated by Enagás, has as partners the mining company Iberpotash, the consultancy firm CRS, the energy company Trinity and the palladium membrane manufacturer H2SITE. H2SITE was the one who went deeper into hydrogen purification technology based on different types of membranes.
