"Madrid LNG & Renewable Energies Shipping Forum", organized by the Jorge Juan Engineer Foundation took place at Hotel Riu Plaza de España in Madrid, June 13 and 14.
The CEO of the Jorge Juan Engineer Foundation, Silvia Oriola, together with Enagás Gas Assets General Manager, Claudio Rodríguez and Global Head of LNG. RWE Supply & Trading GmbH, Javier Moret were in charge of opening the Forum.
With the aim of reflecting on the current and future situation of the maritime sector and the energy mix required to meet the global targets of net zero emissions by 2050 this issue highlights the importance of fuels such as LNG, ammonia and hydrogen in maritime transport.
Luis Parada, Enagás EU Energy Policy & Regulation Director lead a key speech on the Energy situation of the EU after Repower and the role of maritime transport and its infrastructure and logistics.
María Junco, Enagás Technical System General Manager participated in a Roundtable “Role of Spain in security of supply in the EU” with representatives from Axpo, Eni, Reganosa and The Spanish Permanent Representation at the EU in Brussels. And from Scale Gas, the founder and manager Alvaro Delicado participated in a panel debate on “Shipping's response and its role in current and new value chains from LNG through to H2 and CO2” together with representatives of DNV, Fearnleys AS and Sogestran.
Enagás Gas Assets General Manager, Claudio Rodríguez, were also in charge of the closing of the afternoon session on Drivers Impacting Energy Markets.
