Enagás donates 100,000 euros to the ‘Cáritas with the most disadvantaged families’ programme

04 January 2017

Enagás is donating €100,000 to Cáritas for the fifth consecutive year to assist with ensuring basic needs are covered for groups in precarious social situation. This amount will be dedicated to the ‘Cáritas with the most disadvantaged families’ programme, which is focused on improving the quality of life of families who are vulnerable and in situations of exclusion by covering their basic needs.

Through this collaboration, Cáritas will be able to offer health and nutritional care to families housed in their shelters and making use of their day centres and community kitchens. More specifically, the contribution made by Enagás will be used to provide food, housing assistance and educational assistance, and for other initiatives that allow shelter to be offered to the vulnerable families that turn to Cáritas.

This collaboration is in line with the Enagás Social Action Strategy, which aims to contribute to the social and economic development of local communities.
