Claudio Rodríguez, Director of Technical Services and Technology at Enagás, collected the award presented to the project, which is located at the company’s Metrology and Innovation Centre in Zaragoza
Enagás received the Green Transition Award for Hyloop+ at the 5th Energy Night, organised by the Aragón Energy Cluster (CLENAR) on 22 October in Zaragoza. Claudio Rodríguez, Director of Technical Services and Technology at Enagás, collected the award from Natalia Chueca, Mayor of Zaragoza, and Francisco Otal, Director of Renewable Energy at Hitachi Energy. The ceremony was also attended by the President of Aragón, Jorge Azcón.
Enagás will soon commission Hyloop+, Europe’s first multi-gas industrial laboratory equipped with a primary standard, at its Metrology and Innovation Centre in Zaragoza.
The award recognises the key role Hyloop+ plays in the green transition by helping to measure transported hydrogen accurately. This is essential to the deployment of hydrogen as an energy carrier and to the decarbonisation of sectors that are difficult to electrify.
Hyloop+ will be a strategic facility for future energy networks, serving manufacturers, operators and infrastructure developers across Europe. It will also make it possible to recreate operating conditions representative of those expected in future hydrogen infrastructure.
