Enagás, as a company partnered with the Princess of Girona Foundation, recently participated in one of the lines of work of the Special intervention plan for young people in Valencia. This programme seeks to enhance the personal and professional development of young people and help them integrate in the labour market.
The company contributed to one of the lines of work focused on group mentoring, aimed at young people in the province affected by the flash floods in Spain in 2024. Through sessions delivered by staff members from several divisions of the company, Spanish pre-baccalaureate and vocational education and training students aged between 16 and 22 had the opportunity to reinforce their self-esteem, explore their career aspirations and develop a mindset of growth.
Within this context, a meeting with the representatives of the companies taking part in the Special intervention plan for young people in Valencia was held. This was attended by Her Majesty the Queen, accompanied by Ana Redondo, the Minister for Equality. On behalf of Enagás, Training Manager Óscar Gómez del Saz took the opportunity to explain the work carried out by the company’s volunteers with the group of young people from the IES Sedeví secondary school in Valencia, with whom they shared skills, strengths and proposals for the future.
Enagás also demonstrated its support for the academic and personal development of young people at risk of social exclusion through a corporate volunteering programme in partnership with the Fundación Exit (Success Foundation). As part of this project, several Enagás staff took part in the Coach Project, which aims to combat early school leaving among young people in vulnerable situations. Through sessions designed to motivate and guide, the young people had the opportunity to reflect on their interests and talents while fostering their self-knowledge and increasing their personal motivation.
These initiatives, in which Enagás plays a key role, reflect the company’s commitment to young people's well-being and future, supporting their comprehensive development and providing tools that will help them integrate in society and the world of work.
