The health and safety of the professionals who work at Enagás is one of our top priorities. Our commitment is overarching, as the company is not only concerned about the health and safety of people, but also about the environment in which it operates and the activity it performs.

To fulfil this commitment, we have an Integrated Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management System (ISO 45001), which also includes the Road Traffic Safety Management System (ISO 39001) and the Healthy Environments System, certified under the WHO model.

The company also promotes awareness and culture initiatives such as #SafetyMoments and the Safety Walks.

We are a Healthy Company! We have been awarded the AUDELCO Healthy Work Environment certificate for the 2023-2026 period. Additionally, in 2025, the company received recognition from Audelco for excellence in Occupational Health and Safety management.

Enagás also promotes the safety of its supply chain and its supplier approval process requires that providers have ISO 45001 certification in health and safety.

Enagás’ Health and Safety strategy is based on four fundamental pillars:

We promote a culture based on the comprehensive health care of our professionals and their environment. To this end, we work on four aspects:

We promote a healthy lifestyle

We count on the "#BienEstar" program, which brings together all the initiatives we promote in the field of health. These include activities to promote the physical and mental well-being of our professionals, to encourage healthy eating, regular exercise and help them to improve their health and that of their environment.

Enagás was recognised by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality in the "Workplace" category of the 2017 NAOS Strategy Awards (Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity Prevention). In 2025, the Nacional Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (INSST) recognized Enagás for its good practices in promoting workplace health though its BienEstar program, during the 10th Open Meeting of the Spanish Network of Health Companies (REES).

We carry out comprehensive risk controls in each of our activities and workplaces to ensure the health and safety of both our professionals and external collaborators.

We apply continuous learning to our daily work to achieve increasingly healthier and safer environments. Accordingly, we have launched the Guide project, focused on strengthening the leadership and health and safety culture of our professionals. We incorporate their concerns and best practices into our continuous improvement system and regularly share recommendations and other awareness-raising materials. We have also introduced a plan to prevent injuries and illnesses caused by working conditions.

As the Technical Manager of the Spanish Gas System, we ensure the safety of our facilities throughout their life cycle. To this end, the following measures have been introduced:

At Enagás, we have a solid framework of principles and guidelines that enables us to anticipate, manage, and effectively overcome potencial theats or adverse situations. The company works continuously to strengthen its çcrisis Management and Business Continuity, integrating both aspects as key elements of its Corporate Resilience model, with the aim of ensuring the protection of people, the safety of operations, and the reliability of supply.

Our approach is based on continuous improvement and ongoing adaptation to internal and external changes that may affect the different identified scenarios. To this end,  we have increasingly robust governance structures, as well as response and recovery plants that becoming more solid and better trained to restore critical processes during disruptive situations with quality and in the shortest possible time.

This model is supported by the development of a corporate culture oriented toward resilience, through awareness-raising, training, and communication actions at all levels of organization. All of this is complemented by the intensive use of technology as a lever to improve anticipation and decision-making in an increasingly complex and changing environment.
