• The company has been included for the second consecutive year on the CDP Climate Change ‘A List’ for obtaining the highest rating (A) in this climate action ranking, where it has figured since 2009

For the second consecutive year, Enagás is the only company in the world in its sector to be included on the CDP Climate Change ‘A List’, the highest rating on this annual climate action index.

This places Enagás once again among the world’s most advanced companies in terms of sustainability and environmental management, and first in the sector, for its performance and transparency in the fields of emissions reduction, risk management and opportunities arising from climate change, and promoting a low-carbon economy.

Enagás’ sustained acknowledgement in this ranking, in which more than 9,600 companies worldwide have been involved in reporting climate information this year, is further recognition of its sustainability strategy and its efforts to fight climate change.

Since 2014, Enagás has reduced its global emissions by 50% and aims to continue reducing them by a further 25% by 2030 and 61% by 2040 compared to 2018. The company is working on more than 12 projects linked to decarbonisation that promote non-electric renewable energies, such as green hydrogen and biomethane, sustainable mobility and energy efficiency in order to meet its goal of being carbon neutral by 2050.

CDP is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to promote greenhouse gas reduction, forest protection and the safeguarding of water resources among companies and governments. Its procedures and methodology are considered a benchmark in corporate environmental transparency for investors all over the world. It is also the main provider of climate information to investors.
