•  As part of its social support actions against COVID-19, the company is joining the “Red Cross Responds” emergency appeal.

Enagás has reached an agreement with the Spanish Red Cross to provide 50,000 vulnerable families with basic health products for two months, in response to the Spanish Red Cross' emergency appeal to reduce the social impact of COVID-19 in Spain, with a particular focus on highly vulnerable groups.

The company has joined the “Red Cross Responds” initiative with the aim of helping to prevent health risks and social difficulties caused by the coronavirus crisis, to meet the basic needs of people, particularly groups at risk of social exclusion.

In addition, Enagás is carrying out and participating in other initiatives to help mitigate the impact of coronavirus in our country.

The company is offering support to hospitals and care homes in the regions where it operates, to cover the transport needs of the staff of health and catering agencies, among other services, and has donated 244 pieces of protective equipment to the General Directorate of Emergencies and Civil Protection of Madrid City Council.

Likewise, through the sustainable transport start-up Gas2Move, promoted by Enagás, the company is collaborating with the Spanish Federation of Food Banks to deliver bags of food to soup kitchens, which distribute the eco-sustainable vehicles of Gas2Move.

Furthermore, Enagás is taking on initiatives to assist its suppliers of goods and services, including the maintenance of all existing contracts.

The company has also joined volunteer campaigns such as “Letters against loneliness”, an initiative to combat the isolation caused by coronavirus on elderly people in care homes, through letters written by Enagás professionals.

All these actions meet Enagás' three priorities in this COVID-19 health crisis: to continue with the completely normal provision of an essential service for the population, i.e. the supply of natural gas energy; to guarantee the health, safety and well-being of people; and, in line with its social commitment, to contribute to the measurement of its potential for different initiatives to mitigate the social impact of this pandemic.
