Enagás has been included in the Bloomberg 2019 Gender-Equality Index (GEI ). This list distinguishes the 230 companies worldwide who are the most committed to transparency in gender information and the promotion of equality. Specifically, Enagás obtained a score of 84.12 out of 100 points. The score is above average not only for companies in the Utilities sector (73.24 points), but also for the total number of companies included in the Index (74.84 points).

The list includes companies from 10 sectors with headquarters in 36 countries. Together, these companies have a market capitalization of 9 trillion dollars and employ more than 15 million people worldwide, 7 million of whom are women.

Enagás’ inclusion in this list is the result of the company’s efforts over the years in terms of diversity and equal opportunities. This work has resulted in important advances in equality, such as the launch of training, coaching and networking initiatives to promote female talent. The company has also increased the number of women in positions of responsibility and implemented more than 100 measures to facilitate work-life balance, including implementing the teleworking model, among others.

This recognition adds to others obtained by Enagás such as being the first Spanish company included in the Equileap gender equality ranking last October. Enagás has been a Family Responsible Company (FRC) since 2007 and has held the Equality in the Workplace Seal since 2010.
In 2014, it signed a collaboration agreement with the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality on the adoption of measures to increase the presence of women in management positions.
