Javier Perera de Gregorio, Resources General Manager of Enagás and Francisco Belil, Vice President of the Bertelsmann Foundation, have signed the agreement whereby Enagás becomes a member of the Alliance for Dual Vocational Training.
The Alliance is an initiative promoted by the Bertelsmann Foundation, the Princess of Girona Foundation, the Chamber of Commerce of Spain and the CEOE (Spanish Confederation of Employers’ Associations) and its main objective is to group together companies, entities and educational centres to promote Dual Vocational Training as a quality model in training young people.
For Enagás, this membership status expresses the company's commitment to improve youth employability, providing young people with training that will help them find their first jobs while also enabling them to complete their education. Thus, the main objective is to implement Dual Vocational Training by setting up a pilot project in various corporate infrastructures during the course of 2017.
According to Javier Perera de Gregorio, Resources General Manager of Enagás, “the company considers that joining the Alliance is a starting point in its commitment to implement actions aimed at fostering and increasing the prestige and visibility of Dual Vocational Training, while also contributing to improving youth employability”.
For his part, Francisco Belil, Vice President of the Bertelsmann Foundation, affirmed “the development of quality Dual Vocational Training in Spain is of key importance, for it allows companies to provide their employees with training that is adapted to their real needs and students to acquire training that is much more complete, thus allowing them to increase their job opportunities. Thus the Alliance for Dual Vocational Training is founded on the belief that social change processes must be guided by cooperation and collective action, to guarantee their positive impact on society.”
