22 January 2015

• The company is the only Spanish representative included in the Global 100 sustainability index

• Enagás is the recognised global leader in the Gas Utilities sector and sits 19th in the ranking

Enagás has been included in the 2015 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World index, which was unveiled today at the World Economic Forum in Davos by the Corporate Knights, the media and investment research company. The company, the only Spanish representative in this year's edition, ranks 19th in the index and is recognised as the leading player in the Gas utilities sector.

To compile this ranking, Corporate Knights selected from a starting universe of 4,609 listed companies from different sectors around the world and identified the top 100 overall sustainability performers. The Global 100 is determined using 12 quantitative sustainability indicators including environmental aspects, safety, human capital management and executive remuneration.

In 2013 Enagás was also identified as one of the 100 most sustainable companies, the leading player in the Gas utilities sector and the top-ranked Spanish firm.

Sustainability is one of Enagás' four strategic drivers. The company forms part of the leading sustainability indices and recently ranked Silver for the third year running in the Sustainability Yearbook 2014 published by the investment house RobecoSAM, which reviews the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).
