• The vehicle will allow Brihuega, in the province of Guadalajara, to reduce carbon emissions and provide a transport service for the outlying districts of the municipality
Enagás has donated 40,000 euros to the municipal council of Brihuega, province of Guadalajara, to enable it to purchase a natural gas vehicle, in this case a people carrier, which will allow it to provide a transport service for the outlying districts of this locality, particularly for elderly residents
Enagás, which has its Yela underground natural gas storage facility in the municipality of Brihuega, is committed to contributing to the development of communities in which it operated through sustainable social action models.
Natural gas vehicles (NGVs) reduce CO2 emissions by between 15% and 20%, produce practically no solid particulate matter or sulphur oxides (SOx), and eliminate approximately 75% of nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions, which contributes to improving air quality.
In economic terms, NGVs reduce cost per kilometre fuel consumption by 35% compared to diesel and 50% compared to petrol. What is more, this fuel reduces noise pollution by about 50%.
