05 June 2014

Enagás's carbon footprint has been certified in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 14064 standard, which is another step forward in the company's drive to cut greenhouse gas emissions and ensure transparency in its dealings with stakeholders.

Enagás's carbon footprint, calculated as per GHG Protocol guidelines and pursuant to the UNE-EN ISO 14064 standard, is fruit of the company's efforts to improve the reliability and traceability of data on emissions from its activities.

Enagás is determined to tackling climate change, as reflected in its corporate social responsibility strategy, Visión 2020. For a number of years, one of the company's goals is linked to cutting emissions, which has a direct effect on the variable remuneration of all employees.

Enagás has a multidisciplinary working group that monitors direct and indirect emissions from each of its facilities on a monthly basis, identifies areas for improvement, and reviews compliance with the objective of reducing its emissions.
