Enagás, leader in its sector of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index

• The company maintains its presence on this leading sustainability index for the eleventh consecutive year
• Enagás scored the maximum in Climate Change Strategy, Environmental Reporting and Environmental Policy and Management Systems

Enagás has retained its place in the latest edition, published today, of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI – the global benchmark for sustainability) for the eleventh year running.
The company achieved the top score for its sector, Oil & Gas Storage & Transportation, with 85 points out of a possible 100 and leads in environmental and social performance. More specifically, it leads in 11 of the 19 criteria analysed and scored the maximum (100 points) in Climate Change Strategy, Environmental Reporting and Environmental Policy and Management Systems. The other 8 criteria where it leads the field are: Risk and Crisis Management, Operational Eco-Efficiency, Human Rights, Human Capital Development, Talent Attraction and Retention, Philanthropy and Social Action, Health and Safety, and Social Impact on Communities.
These results are a testament to the company’s commitment to the fight against climate change and its faith in sustainability, one of its strategic priorities.
For this year's edition, the DJSI World Index reviewed the world’s 2,500 largest companies and, following rigorous analysis, selected only the 320 most sustainable on the basis of economic, environmental and social criteria.
