Standard & Poor’s upgrades Enagás from BBB+ to A-

This mark's the company's second rating upgrade by the agency this year

Standard & Poor’s (S&P) has announced an upgrade to Enagás’ long-term credit rating from BBB+ to A-. The outlook is stable. This is the second upgrade by S&P of the company this year after the July review.

In its assessment, S&P emphasises the regulatory stability provided by the new gas sector reform, the prudent management of the company's international diversification and its regulated business, which offers high predictability and stability for Enagás' revenues.

In the wake of the rating upgrade, Enagás has surpassed the target included in its 2015-2017 Strategic Update.

Fitch's long-term rating for the company is currently A-, stable. These ratings confirm Enagás’ position as one of Spain’s most secure and solvent companies.
