Energy efficiency and climate change
Reduction of energy consumption, generation of electric power using waste energy from the operation of our facilities and reduction of CO2 emissions.
Our commitment to the environment is set out in the company’s Health and Safety, Environment and Quality Policy, the principles of which are applied through the Environmental Management System, certified in accordance with ISO 14001.
100% of Enagás’ activity is certified according to ISO 14001. In addition, our underground storage facilities in Serrablo and Yela and our regasification plants in Huelva and Barcelona have EMAS certification, which accredits the proper environmental performance of this infrastructure.

In 2022, environmental investments of 8,012 thousands of euros were made and environmental expenses amounted to 20,458 thousands of euros.
We fulfil our commitment to the environment by implementing measures and promoting projects to minimise the impact of our activities on the environment. These actions focus on two areas: climate action and energy efficiency, and natural capital management.
